Cheney Weeder Included in Agricultural Innovation and Heritage Archive

The Story of the Rotary Rod Weeder and its inventors Kyle and Cleve Wolfe has been included in the Smithsonian's Natural Museum of American History Agricultural Innovation and Heritage Archive. The online archive features stories submitted by individuals and institutions telling stories about the development of modern agriculture in America. The archive plans to preserve and share those innovations and experiences of farming and ranching across the United States. On This Day in History – May 5th

George E. Engels and Charles Carreau became partners in the manufacture of brick in #Cheney in 1882.  This is perhaps the earliest of several brick making businesses which operated, using the clay-rich Palouse soils just outside of town.
