Here we have a delightful man’s vest belonging to Louis Van Patten.  Mr. Van Patten was the manager of the Cheney Rotary Rod Weeder manufacturing company in #Cheney for many years.  He also served twice as Cheney’s mayor (1913-1919 & 1944-1948.) The vest is blue and green, fully lined, homespun cloth, single-breasted with 6-buttons, it has a brown faille back with a self- fabric belt.  The pale blue lining of polished cotton has one pocket on the interior right side where the label is attached from Strauss Brothers "America's Leading Tailors", Chicago, 4311, Order No. 98801, for Mr. L.
